HOW DO I...
MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

OPEN ACCESS

Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning 8.45 - 10.00am. There is a minimum of three doctors consulting at the 'open access' surgeries. Patients will be seen in the order they arrive and cannot specify a particular doctor.

For details of routine and clinic appointments, see the surgery times page.

HOW DO I...
OBTAIN A HOME VISIT?

Home visits are at the discretion of the doctor. Please do not ask your doctor to call unless the patient is genuinely too ill to come to the surgery. A rash or temperature does not prevent patients coming to the surgery and will not endanger others. Simply tell the receptionist on arrival. Where possible please telephone requests for home visits before 10.00am. Further information about symptoms may be asked for by the receptionist to enable the doctor to determine the priority and timing of visits.

HOW DO I...
OBTAIN TEST RESULTS?

Laboratory specimens are sent to the hospital on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. If you are asked to bring a specimen on those days please ensure that we receive it before 12 noon.

Test results may be obtained by telephoning the surgery on 733 2800/6565 between 11.00am and 12 noon and between 3.00 and 4.00pm. The receptionist will check to see if your results are available and will then leave a message for the doctor who sent you for the test to telephone you. Please leave a telephone number where you can be contacted. If you leave a mobile number you may be asked to phone the doctor back.
