Registrar
As our practice is a training practice we will have a registrar in post. GP registrars
are fully qualified doctors who have chosen general practice as the career that
they wish to pursue and who will be gaining valuable experience by being based
at our practice for 12 months. At all times they provide care of the same standard
as that provided by the other doctors at the surgery.
Sometimes patients are requested
to allow their consultation with the registrar or one of the other doctors to
be videotaped. This is for educational purposes and helps doctors improve their
skills. If you do not wish your consultation to be videotaped, just say so: your
care will not be affected in any way. Senior doctors monitoring training standards
in the practice may occasionally view patient records.
